LIFETIME WARRANTY
Whats Covered?
At LABS by DECCLA, we provide a complimentary Lifetime Warranty from the date of purchase, covering all Gold and Platinum jewellery against manufacturing defects.
These defects pertain to the structural integrity of the jewelry, and if any item is deemed defective due to manufacturing issues, we will repair or replace it free of charge.
Here are examples of the types of manufacturing defects covered by our Lifetime Warranty:
- Any chips, scratches, or nicks found on stones at the time of collection or during subsequent servicing.
- Visible surface imperfections, such as porosity or blemishes in the metal.
- Misaligned or uneven settings noticed at the time of pick-up or during routine servicing.
- Stains or splashes from rhodium plating found upon pick-up or during servicing.
Whats Not Covered?
Our Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects but excludes damage from accidents, improper use, mishandling, theft, or normal wear and tear.
Common examples of wear and tear include:
Wear on Metal Settings
Metals may develop dents, abrasions, or scratches through everyday use. This is a natural occurrence over time.
With regular use, prongs, claws, and bands may wear down, potentially compromising stone security and requiring reinforcement. This wear is expected and not considered a manufacturing defect.
We recommend:
- Annual inspections by a jeweller to ensure stone settings remain secure
- Professional cleaning and polishing to restore your jewellery's original shine
Gemstone Damage
Despite their durability, diamonds are not indestructible. They can suffer chips, cracks, or scratches if accidentally struck, particularly along vulnerable areas like the edges.
Chemical Exposure & Discolouration
Harsh chemicals, such as chlorine bleach or strong cleaning products, may cause pits or holes in your jewellery's setting. These substances can erode the metal and affect the overall structure.
Other chemicals found in make up, swimming pools and washing products may also cause discolouration over time. This can usually be rectified with a quick polish.
Loose or Missing Stones
Stones may fall out if the metal setting becomes worn or prongs catch on clothing or objects. Loss of stones due to general wear is not covered under the warranty.
Preventive maintenance can help avoid this issue.
